Viña Pomal Selección 500 is a wine made with Tempranillo (85%) from Rioja Alta, planted in calcareous clay soils, thus seeking aging power, and Garnacha (15%) from Rioja Baja, which provides freshness and lots of fruit. for It is made in a traditional way, vinifying each variety separately. Tempranillo undergoes a long maceration and is aged in 225-liter American oak barrels for 15 months. And the Garnacha ferments at the lowest temperature and stems, and is aged in 500-liter French oak barrels.
